Restoring Your Altar

One of the most encouraging truths in Scripture is that God does not hide the failures of His people. Abraham, the father of faith, experienced moments of fear, compromise, and failure. His faith led him to leave Ur...But fear led him to Egypt. His faith caused him to trust God's promise...But fear caused him to lie about his wife.

His faith made him a blessing to the nations...But fear nearly ruined his testimony before the nations. Yet Genesis 13 is not primarily about Abram's failure. It is about how he got back up. Every believer who walks with God long enough will eventually discover this truth: It is possible for your journey of faith to bring you into an experience of failure. The question is not whether we will stumble. The question is... What do we do after we fall?
